Professional Experience
Karin Ferreira is an attorney practicing in Real Estate Law.
She specializes in real estate and construction and development agreements, having vast experience with consulting and litigation in real estate law and civil law, besides acting in:
• Preparing and analyzing all kinds of real estate purchase agreements (ready to sell or under construction), as well as assignment of rights and obligations, assignment of ownership rights, lease agreements, including built-to-suit agreements, guarantee agreements, among others;
• Risk assessment of real estate acquisitions, by analyzing legal data and writing legal opinions;
• Drafting and/or analyzing supply agreements;
• Representing clients real estate related judicial proceedings, such as: adverse possession, compulsory adjudication, injunctive relief and indemnity for expropriation;
• Analyzing and monitoring the recordation of public deeds;
• Pretrial and out-of-court settlements.
Ms. Ferreira was a partner with Marcondes, Cassiano & Ferreira Advogados until 2003, after which she served as in-house counsel for well-known real estate development and management companies in Brazil, such as Evidence Imóveis (2003 to 2012) and FCB Construções (2012 to 2018), working in partnership during that period with large asset management and real estate companies, among others Even Mobile and Brookfield Brasil.
Since 2018, she has been in charge of the real estate practice are of Filhorini Advogados Associados.
