Professional Experience
Camila Akiko Kojima is an attorney practicing in labor law, with experience especially in due diligence involving the assessment of labor lawsuits, investigations initiated by the Labor Prosecution Service (Ministério Público do Trabalho – MPT) and by the Ministry of Labor (currently part of the Ministry of Economy) and class actions (materialized contingencies), as well as assessing internal policies and procedures, benefits, remuneration plans and collective bargaining agreements (non-materialized contingencies).

She also has relevant experience in consulting for national and foreign clients, in reviewing employment standards, employment agreements, profit sharing plans, and in negotiating out-of-court labor settlements, in accordance with the recent Labor Reform Law (Law 13,467/2017).

She started her legal career in 2010 at the firm Castro, Barros, Sobral, Gomes Associados as an intern working with labor law, later being hired as an associate attorney. During more than six years, she worked in consulting, legal due diligence and relevant lawsuits, along with the firm’s partner responsible for the labor law practice, Flavia Filhorini.In 2017, she joined the firm Machado, Meyer, where she practiced as labor attorney, with focus on legal due diligence and consulting. She was responsible for analysis of relevant judicial and administrative cases, preparing reports and evaluating risks indicated by independent auditors and consultants.

In 2020, she joined Filhorini Advogados Associados, as partner, working in its labor law and data protection area.
